51xzOM34muL What to say about Ian Woodhead’s the Unwashed Dead,  Well, first and foremost I will be picking up the sequel and all the other books that follows it.  I may very well have found an author whose every book entertains me greatly.   As this is the first book in a series, I suggest it be read before you pick up any other book in the Zombie Armageddon Books.

As for the book itself, you get introduced to a multitude of characters who all have ties to each other, some you don’t even realize how important they were to the very end.  The characters at first arn’t even sure what’s going on heck I wasn’t even sure what was going on til for them it was too late.  For me not so much,  the only issue I had with The unwashed Dead was character development, somethings were not answered, while other things were sprung on you very rapidly.

While I understand that this is a Z-poc, and things must move quicker then they would in a normal novel, I seriously was wondering how everything worked out for some characters, and apperently I will find that out once I read the sequels and such.   I will tell you this though, though Character development lacked slightly, its not a HUGE issue not by a long shot, Ian worked with what he could in the space he wanted to work with.  A master craftsman never reveals everything in one go.  You actually will become attached to your 4 main characters to a point.  There’s one who you’ll wanna see be maimed horribly pretty quickly on.

The Unwashed dead is a fun, quick romp through the Zombie Apocalypse that will leave you thirsting for more, I know the first words out of my mouth when I finished it were quite literally.  “IAN Where is the SEQUEL , which he readily delivered me a Link to.  though short on length, you will quickly become immersed into the world Ian has created, you will find yourself hurrying to get to the next page just so you can see what happens next.  Your heart will ache for some of the minor characters that live in this world.  You will also be shocked by what really appears to be going on.

Ian Woodhead is just past the age of forty. He lives in the north of England and is married to a wonderful woman. He has forgotten how many children he has. He had been writing for nearly twenty years but has only just gained the confidence to start showing his work. Ian finds it a little creepy writing about himself in the third person.
